Major League Hockey Starts November 7th

Major League Hockey, the new professional 3-on-3 league which begins play this November, has announced its first four franchise locations Toronto, Montreal, Quebec and Minnesota.

Each team will have a long-time NHL player behind the bench as head coach.

The venues for these team will be announced next week along with the next four franchise locations.  Major League Hockey will feature a combination of professional and entry-level players. Players have already been drafted from the NHL, KHL and AHL along with recent graduates of major junior and NCAA programs.

Major League Hockey will play games on Friday and Saturday nights only.

Two games will be played each night, each consisting of two 12-minute periods. There will be a flood between games.

A $100,000 bonus is up for grabs each game, to be split among the players and coaches.

Major League Hockey will be fun, fan-friendly entertainment with a maximum ticket price of $25.

The league allows body contact but no fighting, one-minute penalties to be served in their entirety and other rules to encourage non-stop offence.

A well-known official with 18 years of experience in the NHL has been appointed Referee-in-Chief and is presently recruiting male and female officials to work MLH games.

Free agent camps will be held Sept. 6-7 in Toronto and Sept. 9-10 in Minneapolis.
Coaches and general managers from all MLH teams will be in attendance to scout players who could be added to their training camps.

The inaugural MLH season starts in mid-November 2024 and runs to the first week in April 2025. The league championship will be held in Vancouver in mid-April with the top eight teams competing in a single-knockout format, similar to NCAA basketball and hockey.

Major League Hockey Corporations ownership group is made up of 40 PRIVATE INVESTORS. It is the intention of

MLH Corp to take each team public to expand the ownership base of each franchise.
